Mary Molla Diorio
Mary Molla Diorio, born on August 31, 1907, was a well respected secretary in the Franklin school system for over fifty years. She served both Franklin High School and Franklin Superintendent of Schools Benjamin Thomas.
Diorio was an active member of St. Mary’s Church for which her husband, Frank Diorio, was a crossing guard and custodian. She is fondly remembered for her vast hat collection. She could be seen sporting a fashionable hat when she went just about anywhere - to church, to go shopping, and to celebrate special occasions just to name a few.
Mary Diorio died on February 20, 1994 and is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin.
