Elynor Crothers

Elynor P. Buffone Crothers, born in Franklin, Massachusetts on May 4, 1922, was a graduate of Franklin High School and life-long Franklin resident who shares her birthday with one of the Town’s most famous sons, Horace Mann.

 

Crothers served as a secretary at Dean College for thirty-one years and was on both the Franklin Board of Registrars and the Board of the Franklin Public Library. She participated in the groundbreaking for the addition made to the library in 2016, led Girl Scout and Cub Scout troops, and was a eucharistic minister for St. Mary’s Church as well as a member of the Church’s Women’s Club.

 

Elynor Crothers died on October 12, 2020 and is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin.
